Originally from Dublin, Claudine now works as an artist and illustrator in London. Drawing mostly in coloured pencil, her style balances realistic form and abstract colour.
Claudine O’Sullivan shares her illustration process in a live observational drawing session. Starting with some short sketching exercises, Claudine will share her initial drawing process and give tips for those looking to start drawing again or those wanting a different approach to sketching. The session will work up into a quick colour study, looking at the relationship between colour and form. Claudine will be using 2H/2B pencils and colouring pencils for this session, focusing on found leaves.
For those wanting to join in, simply collect some interesting fallen leaves from a garden or park. Alternatively a house plant or herb works fine. Any available materials can be used; paint, pencil or iPad.
